The idea behind AVCC is to create an opportunity to showcase the talented designers, artists, artisans, and crafters, from across the Avon Valley and beyond, in a retail setting.
It is also, to provide a variety of opportunities for workshops, presentations, and other events, to encourage community uptake of art and craft, environmental awareness whilst promoting and utilising the skills of our Community of Makers.
Did you know, not only are we are passionate about showcasing and promoting talented Makers, but they receive 100% of their product sales.
Lisa McDonald established Avon Valley Creators Collective in early 2020, developing the business whilst in the Shire of Northam’s’ Pop Up Shop, with the support of her family.
Lisa identified the need for something different, unique for customers to experience and explore.
Then the fun began, transforming the shop into a special place to display products and for people to visit.
Lisa herself is a Maker and has been a sewist for many years.
She began creating a variety of unique handmade bags (Pig Beach Bags brand) which are made from upcycled textiles and other fabrics sourced from various regions.
We just don’t showcase WA’s talented Artisans but are passionate about Recycling – Reusing – Repurposing furniture, household items, garden items, plumbing, gift bags and so much, more to create a space for our customers to explore and enjoy.
